Nights of Lights

Nights of Lights

Mid Nov 2022 – Jan 31 2023

By far one of the most spectacular Christmas light displays I have ever seen, Nights of Lights is definitely a reason to plan a trip to St Augustine during the holidays.  The display lights up the weekend before Thanksgiving and goes dark on January 31st.   There are a number of ways to see the lights – carriages, trolleys, walking or by boat.

The 2022 display is a far cry from the original Spanish tradition of displaying a candle in the window, symbolic of Mary and Joseph’s search for a room.  It also shows a welcoming of the holiday season and holiday guest into our homes.  This light festival has been a part of St. Augustine’s holiday celebration for 29 years.
